Who's Sheryl?
Massage began for me as a family tradition as I grew up surrounded by athletic brothers always in need of a good back massage after a tough game or practice.
After graduating with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Education and joining the U.S. Army Reserves, I was still looking for my gift. It was while experiencing my first professional massage at a fitness center that I realized I've had my gift all along. I immediately began my professional massage education and have never looked back! I now have over 20 years of professional experience and continuous professional training in this field. I passed the National Certification Exam for Massage Therapists and Bodyworkers in 1994 and also maintain a North Carolina State License in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (#2105).
My style is often described as thorough and smooth. I am very fit and can offer a range of pressure from light and relaxing to true deep tissue work. All my work is accompanied by my signature soothing style that allows deeper relaxation and deeper work, if desired, with greater comfort.
I also perform or teach occasional pro bono massage at events such as Veterans Wellness Resources Fairs, and Young Onset Parkinson's Support Groups.
I have a flexible schedule that allows both day and evening appointments. If I am not on a day hike with friends or family, or traveling with my standard poodle, I will be happy to see you!
